Why CyberTrackerAU exists

Australia is under constant cyber attack. We built this so anyone can see exactly what's happening, in plain language, for free.

CyberTrackerAU exists to make Australian cyber incident data accessible to everyone — from IT professionals and business owners to journalists and everyday Australians who want to know if their data has been compromised.

Australia has no single, freely accessible, up-to-date public tracker of cyber incidents. Government advisories are buried in PDFs. News articles are scattered across dozens of publications. Breach lists are maintained by insurance companies as marketing tools.

We built CyberTrackerAU to fix that — a clean, honest, regularly updated record of every significant publicly reported cyber attack on Australian organisations.

🎯
Accuracy first
We only publish verified incidents with named sources. We never speculate or republish unverified claims.
🔓
Always free
This data should be publicly accessible. The core incident tracker will always be free to use.
🇦🇺
Australia focused
We focus exclusively on Australian organisations — not global lists with Australia buried inside.

Every incident on CyberTrackerAU is sourced from one or more of the following verified sources:

Australian Cyber Security Centre
Official government advisories and alerts from cyber.gov.au and ASD's annual threat reports.
OFFICIAL
Company disclosures
Direct statements, ASX announcements, and press releases from affected organisations.
PRIMARY
Verified press reports
Reporting from IT News, ABC News, The Guardian, The Australian, and other credible outlets.
PRESS
Threat intelligence feeds
Publicly accessible dark web monitoring reports from Cyble, Webber Insurance, and Bright Defense.
INTELLIGENCE
CyberTrackerAU publishes information about cyber incidents that are already in the public domain. We do not publish unverified claims, speculate on unreported incidents, or identify individuals affected by breaches. If you believe an incident has been inaccurately reported, please contact us and we will review it promptly. This site is independent and not affiliated with the Australian Government or any cybersecurity vendor.
