The prolific dark web threat actor known as '2019' posted a dataset on an underground hacking forum containing more than 10,600 records allegedly exfiltrated from Lifeline Australia. Forensics confirmed that an unauthorized third party bypassed security controls to access internal directories, exposing staff and volunteer information, including names, dates of birth, corporate email addresses, phone numbers, and WhatsApp contact details. Lifeline confirmed no help-seeker or financial data was accessed, though their initial assessment indicates portions of the published data were manipulated and doctored with falsified information.
