What happened

Hardware cryptocurrency wallet provider Trezor disclosed a third-party security incident after an unauthorized actor compromised a third-party customer support portal (hosted via Front). The breach exposed the full names, email addresses, and support ticket interaction history of nearly 14,000 users who had contacted Trezor customer service since May 2021. Trezor confirmed that core wallet recovery seeds, private keys, PINs, and funds remained uncompromised due to hardware isolation architecture. The company revoked compromised third-party API credentials and issued public phishing warnings to affected customers regarding targeted credential-harvesting campaigns.
