ASX-listed furniture retailer Nick Scali Limited issued an after-market disclosure confirming an active cyber security incident. In response to the breach, the company selectively took internal IT infrastructure and order-processing systems offline, causing operational delays and slower response times for customer deliveries. Nick Scali engaged external cyber incident response specialists and threat negotiation intermediaries to address extortion and ransom demands from the threat actors. The retailer reported no immediate evidence of unauthorized access to customer databases, and formally notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and Australian Federal Police (AFP).
