Hachette Australia / Alliance Distribution Services (ADS) issued direct notifications to current and former employees confirming that personal and HR employment records were compromised during the July/August 2026 cyber incident. Exfiltrated records include employee full names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses, employment terms, salary details, superannuation data, banking details (BSB and account numbers), and Tax File Numbers (TFNs). Affected individuals reported that Hachette confirmed breach details with the ATO on 3 August 2026 prior to issuing formal notifications to impacted personnel on 10 September 2026.
