Sunshine Coast-based accounting, finance, and business advisory firm Poole Group was listed on the LockBit ransomware group's dark web leak site with a threat to release exfiltrated company data by October 25. Poole Group confirmed it experienced a cyber incident affecting part of its IT environment, engaged external cybersecurity specialists, and implemented immediate containment measures. The company notified the ACSC, OAIC, and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as forensic investigations continue to evaluate the scope of exposed client and financial records.
