East Maitland-based specialist medical practice Hunter Neurology confirmed it is investigating claims made by the n0n ransomware group following a supply chain compromise involving a third-party technology provider that hosts its environment. Threat actors listed the practice under an alias before demanding extortion payments, threatening to leak over 15,200 patient images/scans, 11,800 medical letters and reports, 439 laboratory results, and four full system backups containing protected health information (PHI). Hunter Neurology engaged external forensic experts, notified the ACSC and OAIC, and verified that clinical operations remain unaffected.
